How to fit the Atlas Multi Cavesson
The patented Hrímnir Atlas Multi Caveson is a bitless training bridle that was developed in collaboration with riding instructor and FT master trainer Eyjólfur Ísólfsson. It can be used for lungeing and working the horse in hand as well as riding. The cavesson is made of high-quality leather with stainless steel buckles. Rolls in the buckles enable easy and quick adjustment. The idea was to provide a strong and durable design, so the Multi Cavesson can also be used for the work with young horses.
The noseband contains a metal piece, which allows the trainer to influence the horse in a precise way. The metal piece is softly padded to protect the horse’s nasal bone and to ensure equal pressure distribution. The metal piece can be adjusted to the shape of your horse’s head by simply bending it. This cavesson therefore fits a big variety of different head sizes.
Both chin strap and head piece are softly padded to provide better pressure distribution and more comfort for the horse.
On the noseband are three metal rings that are fixed, so they will not disturb the horse while working. These rings make it easy for the trainer to work correctly from both sides. The cavesson allows the trainer to influence the lateral flexion of the poll and bending of the neck with preciseness. This is necessary for being able to get the horse to stretch his neck forward and down, allowing the horse to lift the back and work freely. This also helps the horse to be in better balance. The two metal rings on the chin strap can be used to achieve better vertical flexion of the poll.
These rings on the noseband and on the chin strap allow a big variety of adjustments and provide therefore many different ways of using this cavesson in training. For example, it can be ridden with two reins (one to bend the horse and one to get more vertical flexion of the poll).

Ólafur Andri Guðmundsson, head trainer at Fet breeding farm and FT riding teacher from Hólar University has tested the Atlas Cavesson and says:
"The Atlas Cavesson is a good and horse-friendly bridle, that suits well for work in hand, starting young horses and bitless riding. In my opinion this bridle helps horses that are very light and sensitive to the rein contact, with a tendence to go easily behind the vertical, to trust themselves into more rein contact and to lengthen the neck.“
