The knee blocks are placed under the saddle flap for extra comfort. They offer good support and steadiness for the leg.
A double layer of leather in the flap keeps the flap soft and flexible, and offers good grip.

Advice from Hrimnir
As the shape and fitness of each horse varies, the use of a saddle pad should be considered - especially for horses that do not have much development in their back muscles, or if the horse is lacking muscle mass in certain areas. Horses change their shape about 5 times during their lifetime.
